Google Engineers Publish “Material Design Light” for Web

Google Engineers have released what they term "Material Design Light", a simple method of adding a material theme to a website. It runs with CSS, HTML and JavaScript, and is framework-agnostic, featuring a large number of easy to use templates and components, and so should be very quick to implement.

OnePlus 2 to be Priced “Under $450″

Despite previously stating that they thought $400 was 'reasonable' for the '2', OnePlus have since officially announced via Google+ that their upcoming flagship will be "under $450". Pete Lau made an almost identical post last year for the One, making the price increase all the more noticeable this time around.

Material Theme for Samsung Hits 570k Downloads in a Day

The latest version of Touchwiz brought along with it a feature called Theme Store that allowed users to pick themes that suited their style. Given Touchwiz' poor performance in aesthetics, Samer Zayer made a beautifully crafted Material Design theme, which went on to receive over 570,000 downloads in a single day.

Leaked Video Shows Off Note 5 Design

It's been a while since Samsung announced the S series flagships for 2015, and expectant heads now turn towards the second half of the year, which is expected to bring the Note flagship with it. A leaked video earlier today has revealed the design of the Note 5, looking somewhat like the S6 itself.

If you purchase phones from a carrier, you may be no stranger to the difficulties involved in rooting and installing a custom rom, recovery and kernel on such a carrier locked device. Add to this the extra layer of security that Samsung adds in the form of the Knox counter on its devices, and one can only imagine the roadblocks for enthusiasts who want to play around with their device without losing warranty in the process. Android One Arrives In Pakistan Through QMobile A1

Google is extending the Android One love to more countries, with Pakistan getting a piece of the pie this time. Released in collaboration with QMobile, the QMobile A1 follows along the Android One principles and will be available in retail stores in Pakistan for PKR 11,500 ($115).

Android 5.1.1 Omni ROM For Motorola Xoom

Back in Feb 2011, the Motorola Xoom became the first device to be sold with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. 4 years later, the device is still going strong having received an alpha build of Android 5.1.1 through Omni ROM. The ROM is for the Wifi (wingray) model, and is commendable work for an alpha release, so give it a try!

LG G2 To Receive Official Android 5.1.1 Update

An employee working at LG's software development department has informed the folks over at Androidpit.de that a software update for the LG G2 is already in the works, this time for Android 5.1.1. This update will fix some previous bugs and bring over some features from the LG G4 as well as LG UX 4.0.
