A Decent Dialer – Fast Dialer for Android

If you are an Android device owner that made the switch from WinMo, then you might be looking for a decent dialer.

XDA forum member eirh was so badly missing a dialer that enables fast search through contacts by number or name, that he decided to write his own dialer app.

Fast Dialer not only has the above mentioned features but also enables searching for contacts in two different alphabets – one of which is Latin based, supporting all European Latin-based languages and the other being Greek, Cyrillic or Hebrew.  Currently, Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian and Macedonian are implemented.

Additionally, the dialer supports Android 1.6 (Donut) or higher.

To download the application and for more information, head on over to the forum thread.

Glimpse Notifications by XDA Senior Member xrad offers just that. You'd normally have to turn your screen on manually to see your notifications. Instead, Glimpse Notifications will do it for you when a notification comes in. That doesn't mean...
