Android Basics 101: Installing the Latest OTA with Root – XDA Developer TV

Here at XDA, we are power users. As power users we root our devices. In fact XDA Developer TV has a lot of videos showing how to root various devices, from the Samsung Galaxy S III to the HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy Camera. But what if you want to get the latest OTA update? Often, you lose root.

In this video, XDA Developer TV Producer TK shows you how to deal with that. TK talks about Odex and Deodex ROMs and shows off the application Triangle Away and its functionality.

ITaaS – Identity Theft as a Service with FileThis

It's not often I look at a product or service and say "I really really hope this isn't real, and it's an elaborate fake". Alas, this day has come. It's time for a look at something which cropped up on my radar today, namely a service called FileThis. I won't do them the search-engine-ranking honor of providing a direct link to their site, but a quick search will find them, and their app on the Play Store and iTunes store....
