You all know that there is a rule that was implemented not too long ago on our fora, which was designed to avoid clutter in development sections and threads. However, there are many out there who either do not understand how this works or are simply misinformed about its true purpose, the limitations imposed, and so on. XDA moderator 12aon decided to compile a thread with tons of useful information regarding everything you need to know (and then some) about our infamous 10 post rule. Again, this is not a way of punishing anyone, but rather a chance to prove us that new members are here to be part of the community rather than to post spam or simply to ask questions as if we were a support site for carriers and manufacturers. I hope that all of you take the time to go through this thread as it talks about common urban myths regarding this.
Remember, there are no wrong questions, but they can be put in the wrong place, and this is what we try to avoid (among other things). Please feel free to comment on the usefulness of this rule.
