10x 3G Speed Increase Reported with New N1 Radio

10x 3G Speed Increase Reported with New N1 Radio

When the recent new Korean ROM surfaced for the Google Nexus One, XDA members noted that the ROM contained a new baseband firmware (version 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04).

This version is identical to the baseband firmware in the latest HTC Desire 2.2 update. Various members have flashed the new radio onto their Nexus Ones, and there have been reports of tenfold increases in 3G speeds.

The discussion is ongoing but the increase does seem to have been validated by different forum members, although some have dismissed the increase as a coincidence that HSPA+ has been turned on in their areas in the last few days.  Others have also reported that the wifi disconnect issue has also disappeared since upgrading to the new radio.
