3-Button Combination Fix Arrives for All Galaxy S Variants

Although the Samsung Galaxy S device family contains very powerful and appealing devices, many potential buyers have been put off by talk on the site that one of the key modding tools of the phone simply won’t work.

Since the release of the Samsung Captivate, Vibrant, Epic 4G and Fascinate (each model being the representative of a major US carrier) users have been plagued by issues with the phone’s 3-button-press combination, which is used in order to enter Android’s recovery and download modes. Although this is a familiar feature for users of the operating system, checks for this facility on these phones seems to have been skipped during quality control.

Thankfully, XDA member Richthofen has posted a solution which should help users of any of the Galaxy variants. As Bell posted a fix for their own version of the phone, Richthofen has managed to use this patch (along with some technical wizardry) to get the secondary bootloader working across the board.

If you are one of the unlucky owners who are sorely missing their secondary bootloader, be sure to check out theĀ fix thread for more details.
