Looking to measure 3D gaming performance on your mobile device? XDA Forum Member sadegh1993 presents to us 3DM Benchmark developed by knight93. This OpenGL ES 2.0 benchmark was created using the Unity 3d game engine used in Shadowgun, Cordy, and many more.
The benchmark makes use of bumpmaps, various shaders, and particle effects to make sure that it puts your device through its paces properly. In addition to testing graphics, your device’s CPU is also important for calculating physics. In the words of the developer:
I want to show you a new Benchmark app which you can almost understand how much is your android device power to handle 3d games and apps.
This Benchmark is created with Unity 3d game engine (game engine of Shadowgun) and it is based on OpenGL ES 2.0 with This API (OpenGL ES 2.0) your device can handle Advanced rendering techniques like rendering bump maps. The Cost of M3D Benchmark is 0.00$ or in other words it’s Free.
Maybe you want to say this benchmark is heavy ! it might be true ! but you should know in this benchmark there are lots of trees and flowers Also there are particle systems such as rain, and there are bump maps and real time shader and etc.
Continue on to the original thread to get the application. Once you’ve given it a shot, share your device stats a screenshot of your results to help the developers generate device statistics.
