Everyone has them—contacts you need quick access to. However, scrolling though a massive list just to get to them can be extremely cumbersome and frustrating. Users can simplify the process with contact widgets placed on the home screens, but an alternative for the sake of convenience would be storing contacts in the notification bar with ContactsNotifications.
XDA Senior Member dapaua introduced to us ContactsNotifications developed specifically for Android users to get to the contacts that matter, faster. The app allows the user to select up to four contacts which are then displayed persistently in the notification area along with the other notifications and alerts. Tapping on the contact brings up the default action of selecting the contact anywhere else on the phone, such as options to call, text message, or view. The user interface is uncluttered and clean, and doesn’t make the notification area look crammed and untidy, but rather, professional.
The great thing about this app is how simple yet practical it is. Easily accessible anytime and anywhere within any app, important contacts are just a swipe and a tap away. Compatible with Android versions Ice Cream Sandwich and newer, ContactsNotifications is free exclusively on XDA. For the download link and more details, check out the original thread._________
