Hotspot triggers on Android device screens are becoming quite popular. They have been used in many applications such as LMT Launcher, Loopr or Fancy Switcher. The principle is pretty simple, as some commands are activated by swiping from the certain part of the screen. For example, you can access your recently running apps or control your device with a handy PIE launcher.
An interesting application was recently presented by XDA Senior Member leducbao, author of the previously covered Call Popout. The developer used hotspots to access a few very handy areas. With Quickr, you can access running and recent apps, a very useful Settings panel (requires root access), and an even more useful favorite and frequent contacts. The previously mentioned actions are only a few examples of what can be done, as many more can be set up in custom panel edition mode.
The trigger area can be adjusted from very thin to quite thick, so it should not disturb your normal usage. The application could become a perfect add-on to your favorite launcher. This app should work on all devices running Android 4.0 or greater.
You can give Quickr a try by visiting the original thread and getting the newest application file._________
