If you’ve just updated to the delights of Froyo and want to find a quicker way to activate the tethering option, look no further. Some members have noted that this can be achieved using AnyCut to create a shortcut to the tethering activity in the settings list menu. Alternatively, XDA forum members jmdsdf and pikipirs (of Wiimote Controller fame), have both separately coded simple shortcut applications to activate tethering.
jmdsdf has also provided the source code for those of you who are interested in learning how to write your own Android apps, and has also written similar apps for APN, data and wifi settings.
