With the release of Ice Cream Sandwich, users got to see a new user interface with features not available in prior versions. Applications that take advantage of the new interface and features came along for the ride as well, and it’s only a matter of time before we see more.
XDA Forum Member madeincanon has posted about Boid, a Twitter client promising to create a new Twitter experience thanks to its ICS-styled interface. While still in alpha, is showing promising results. Plans for the next few releases include:
** More bug fixes
** Lists and saved searches
** A complete tweet composer (media and location attach)
** A tweet viewer (including retweeting, viewing conversations, favoriting, and clicking links in tweets)
** Ability to view friends and followers
** A home screen widget (in donation version)
** Full tablet support
As you can see, it’s still a little rough around the edges, but they’re getting there to make it the best ICS-specific Twitter client available. It’ll just take some time.
