We all love going to the market to check the latest and greatest that the talented developers around the world have to offer. There are plenty of alternatives out there for the official Google Android market, but not being satisfied with the others, XDA member malgon decided to take the leap of faith and came up with his own. YAAM, which stands for “Yet Another Android Market” is an open source market that is geared towards developers. For starters, the devs get 100% of the moneys obtained from sales (minus Paypal fees) as opposed to the Android market where devs get about 60%. Also, the wordy devs will rejoice in the fact that they won’t have to cut their inspiration short thanks to unlimited description size. There are other perks to using this, but we will leave the rest up to you to find out.
The market currently has roughly 23,000 members and well over 400 apps. So, if this looks interesting to you, please swing by and leave some feedback for the dev and you can also join in the project if you would like to help.
