Ancient Mac OS on Your Android Device

Yes, you read the title correctly. Allow me to explain. You might have heard of something called Mini VMac, which is an emulator for early (almost prehistoric) versions of the Macintosh OS originally found on the Mac Plus. Well, it seems that somebody has taken it upon themselves to create an Android version of this particular emulator, which allows you to emulate the aforementioned operating system on either your phone or tablet. Meanwhile, XDA Senior Member fotax-x created a thread on how to accomplish this, along with a link to suitable disk image to have you up and running in no time.
Quite why you might want to do this is a question you can only answer for yourself, as the aged OS is pretty limited. Besides some basic text editing and messing around with a few classic games such as Shufflepuck Cafe or Dungeon Of Doom, there really isn’t much you can do. I suppose it could be quite an interesting conversation piece, if you have some really nerdy friends that is. The point, however, is that if you want to, you can.
Although originally posted in the X8 forums, this will work on nearly every Android device. So take a look at the forum thread if you’re intrigued. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to grab my Xoom and keyboard dock, and head off to find a coffee shop full of Macbook owners and see how many weird looks I can get. “Oh you’re using Mountain Lion? I prefer an older version myself… Trolololol.“
