Android Email.apk Without Exchange Security

If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a version of the Android email app without Exchange Security, then you’ll want to check out the modded apk from XDA forum member shafty023.

The dev has taken the latest source code for the Email.apk from CM6 (CyanogenMod) and modified it to remove any Exchange Security policy enforcement. The source code now does not check for security requirements on every ping to the Exchange server. shafty023 states that the benefits of using this method rather than using an older version of the apk file, is that this includes the new code updates such as the new ‘Select All’ and enabling sync on individual folders options.

You’ll need to make sure that you have removed the device admin and removed the pin lock after copying over the modded apk.
