Thanks to our talented developers, XDA has always been the major smartphone hacking site in the world. Especially the Android ports for Windows Mobile are highly discussed and developed here on the forums. The Android port for the HD2 is a good example of that, and it opened a world of possibilities, for both Android developers as well as the end-user. The day that Android finally worked on the HD2 can be seen as one of the major milestones in smartphone history.
Zoheb Siddiqui from Stuff Magazine was inspired by the posts on XDA and decided to write an article on How to run Android on Windows Mobile, accenting the HD2. Especially, people who think it’s too hard to install Android may find this article really useful, as everything is explained very clearly. It’s nice to see that the online development on XDA also gets published on paper, so many more people can enjoy the work of the developers.
“Installing Android is easier than it looks, and as long as you read our instructions and take the necessary precautions, it’s as easy as copy and paste (for some models). The peeps at xda-developers have done an outstanding job at breaking down and explaining every step in flashing your phone. Most of the instructions written down in this guide are from various threads in the forum – we’re just pointing you in the right direction.”

We hope this is of some help for you, and we thank the guys at Stuff Magazine (Zoheb Siddiqui) for creating this article.
