As the Android OS gains momentum, there are an increasing number of reports of Android malware surfacing, and XDA forum member srikanth.naidu has drawn our attention to a new malware recently reported.
The new find, was originally reported by researchers at CA Security and features an advanced Trojan which can record infected devices conversations and upload to a remote server.
The Trojan records the conversation in ‘amr’ format as well as containing other malicious activities, and stores the recorded call in a directory on your SD card.
This highlights that Android users should always check permissions on applications before installing on devices without thinking logically why an app requires the specific permissions it requests.
