If you have an Android device and use streaming Enigma 1 or 2 with Dreambox, this may be of your interest. XDA member tilleke presents the first version of AndroidDreamer, featuring HTTPS (SSL), EPG, Remote Control, Timer Management, and other options using vPlayer or VLC. The developer states that the application does not use the telnet-interface like WMDR, but it uses the HTTP-interface of VLC instead. Working over LAN only for now, as this is the first beta state some bugs are expected, please leave feed back it is very important!.
Please read the instructions in detail before proceeding.

AndroidDreamer (Beta 0.2 of 10/12/2010)
UPDATE: 10/12/2010 – 2nd beta released
After publishing my application WMDreamRemote, here on XDA, for Windows Mobile (an application to control and watch remotely in streaming your Dreambox, a satellite receiver – see my signature), I received many requests for a similar application for Android. I said I would do it if I could implement streaming. I finally found some time and wrote quickly a beta-release of AndroidDreamer which permits streaming although in this moment only in LAN.
Here are some details and instructions how to set up everything:
This beta release supports streaming both for Enigma and Enigma2. However, please remember that AndroidDreamer is very simple in this moment and does not yet support other features such as HTTPS (SSL), EPG, Remote Control, Timer Management etc. It was written quickly to test streaming.
You can choose between vPlayer or VLC. The advantage of vPlayer, other than excellent quality, is that there is no need for a separate computer with VLC working as a transcoding-server. However, vPlayer cannot be installed on all devices and in this case VLC is the only option. This is also true for remote-streaming (3G).
