Androtility Makes Fastboot Easier for Mac Users

Practically any Android user on XDA will have come across either ADB or Fastboot at some point. These are tools that allow users to push or pull files and other information to or from Android devices. Most Android modifications found on XDA will require you to use ones of these tools in one way or another.
Using these tools requires entering various commands from a command line, which can lead to potential user error or confusion if the correct commands are not known.
To get around these problems, a number of “toolkits” have been made available on XDA that automate these commands to avoid any potential operator error. The only problem is that they are almost all targeted at Microsoft Windows users—until now that is.
XDA Recognized Developer andreigherghe has come to the rescue of Mac users by bringing us Androtility, a Mac utility that aids in performing a range of Fastboot and ADB commands at literally the push of a button. As well as performing the simple task of pushing and pulling files from your phone, it also has the following features:
- Flash Recovery; Radio; HBOOT; Splash
- Auto convert BMP to Splash NB
- Replace and backup Boot Animation
- Enter Fastboot or Recovery
Androtility should work on any device that has access to Fastboot mode. This includes all Nexus devices and HTC Android devices. Head on over to the original thread and check it out.[Image courtesy of XDA Forum Member Ibn Saeed.]
