I am a gamer. I play with my Galaxy Nexus constantly throughout the day, mercilessly burning in the screen and terrorizing the poor overclocked GPU. As such, I am always on the lookout for the next great game.
Today I found just that with XDA Forum Member tamasu’s debut game, Starship Commander. In tamasu’s words:
It is a space shooter action game that requires more than fast reactions and memorising enemy attack patterns. The player also need to have strategy skills to equip proper upgrades and use the appropriate skills during specific missions. There are 7 different alien races with more than 100 unique entities, 91 missions in 16 unlockable galaxies. The player can choose between 3 difficulty levels for each mission.
Having played the game for most of today, I can say that I’m impressed with the level of customization of both the ship and its armaments. Gameplay is challenging, especially for those not accustomed to classic space shooter-type games.
The game is a little slow in the beginning, but rapidly picks up after the first few missions. All-in-all it’s an amazing game, compounded by the fact that its tamasu’s first.
Head over to the original thread and give your thumbs a workout. You won’t be disappointed.___________________
