You may recall that early last month, Chrome Beta for Android gained better fullscreen video support, as well as the ability to undo closed tabs when it was updated to version 35.0.191634. Now one and a half months later, this feature has made it out of beta and into the 35.0.1916.122 stable build.
So what does Chrome 35.0.1916.122 stable bring to the table? Just like last month’s beta build, we now have undo tab close on the stable Chrome release channel, as well as improved fullscreen HTML5 video with support for subtitles and controls. Finally, multi-window works on compatible (i.e. certain Samsung) devices. According to the official Chrome blog:
- Undo Tab Close
- Fullscreen video with Subtitles and HTML5 controls
- Support for some multi-window devices
Chrome 35 will be making its way to consumer devices through the Google Play Store via a staged rollout. As such, your device may not be in the initial wave to receive the update. Luckily, we’ve found and mirrored the update on our Dev-Host account for your sideloading pleasure.
