Are You Home? “Unlock With Wifi” for Android Saves You Time

Whatever the reason may be, most of us have our devices locked when it comes out of sleep state. Mid to large size corporations require smartphones to be PIN locked because of having Exchange e-mail and access to corporate documents. This is all fine as it is important for others to not have access to the phone’s content. However, once you are off work and simply want to get home to relax and play with your phone for a bit, why do you have to unlock it every time you want to use it? It isn’t like someone is going to break into your home just to see your e-mails. With convenience as a paramount of this project, XDA member Ben74 decided to make an app to eliminate the need of unlocking the device once you are home (or close to a friendly network). The app has a wide array of features to ensure that even if your phone is stolen from your home, the device will relock itself.
The app is currently in beta, so please any testing and feedback will be much appreciated. Also, the dev is looking for opinions on whether the app should be ad supported and free or paid. So, please make sure you cast your vote on this as well.
Unlock with WiFi unlocks your device when you’re connected to your home WiFi network. What does “unlock” mean? It means you don’t have to enter your password/pattern/PIN when you turn on your phone. When you’re at home, or work, you don’t need to worry about losing your phone, so why should you have to enter your password?
You can find more information in the application thread.
