What’s more: the AES-128 encryption, used by governments worldwide, is practically impossible to crack. The only hope of unlocking the bootloader, thereby, lies in Asus. And HTC, which similarly began to lock its bootloaders back in May, eventually backed off in face of massive protests, providing a web-based unlock solution.
