Automate Your SMS Replies with ButlerSMS

Ever find that people always seem to text you at the most inconvenient times? Whether you’re unable to reply for a legitimate reason like the fact that you’re currently driving, are at work with the boss looking over your shoulder, or perhaps it’s just that you’re too busy “pwning nOObs” in your favorite FPS to deal with trivialities of real life. Why not set up an automated response to let people know that you’re either unable to reply or simply can’t be bothered.
ButlerSMS by XDA Forum Member zalez is a simple application that allows you to do just that. Decide what the automatic response should be and who should receive it when they message you, and you’re all set. The app features three different profiles—normal, movie, and driving; and it allows for blacklisting of certain numbers that won’t receive an auto reply. There are also other options including the ability to read messages aloud, define a period of time in which the app will not respond if numerous messages are received from the same person, a GPS locator, homescreen widgets for ease of starting and stopping the application, and numerous other features.
Although this is a paid app on Google Play, the developer has generously made it available for free here on XDA-Developers. Zales is also open to any suggestions for future versions. The app runs on Android 2.2 or greater, and can be found in the application thread.
