One of the most important steps an Android device user can take when flashing a new ROM is backing up his (or her) applications. While the much lauded Titanium Backup has been a staple in this field for a considerable amount of time, there have been few contenders.
App Manager was developed by XDA Forum Member masterjb to offer users a viable alternative. Its features include:
Click on Apps to Uninstall one-by-one
Check multiple Apps to Uninstall (Batch Uninstall)
Click on Apps to Backup one-by-one
Click on multiple Apps to Backup (Batch Backup)
Click on Apps from Backups to Install
Having used the application on my Galaxy Nexus, I can say that it does exactly what it portends. The interface is easy to use and intuitive. Simply check the applications you want to back up (or hit check all for batch), hit backup, and presto: Your apps are safely tucked away onto your SD card.
