BacklightNotification for Samsung i9000 on Eclair

For those of you wanting backlight notification for incoming notifications on your Samsung Galaxy S i9000, you’ve now got it courtesy of XDA forum member neldar.

The mod replaces the old kernel with a modified kernel that includes a backlight patch and some additional modules for lagfix and VPN support.

Currently, the mod only supports the Galaxy S i9000 running only Android 2.0/2.1 (Eclair). Bugs include battery drain and not all Samsung or Touchwiz apps support the LED notifications.
