Posted May 24, 2012 at 01:30 pm by mustangtim49
Have you reached that point with Android that you are an expert with ROM flashing and know your way around bootloaders and recoveries? That point where you are no longer a noob, but still no developer? If this sounds like you, thanks to XDA Forum Senior Member neroyoung, you too can begin cooking your own basic ROMs.
The guide features a basic overview, a complete list of required tools, instructions, step-by-step tutorial videos, and all download links. The best part? This guide is written so that just about anyone (including yours truly) can follow and understand. This thread is just days old, and neroyoung will be spending a lot of time monitoring it and adding information as needed. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions, as neroyoung will do his best to answer them.
Stop saying you’re going to learn Android ROM development, and head down to the guide thread to get your feet wet! Also, don’t forget to thank neroyoung, who is currently a CompSci and Engineering student himself.
