For those of you who had Android devices prior to the Transformer, one piece of functionality that you likely long for and miss like crazy is the multiple options for reboot. If, for instance, you want to go into recovery right now, you need to completely power off the device and upon powering it back on, you must hold down the poewre button and the volume down key for a few seconds before this device reboots into CWM. Well, if you currently have a deodexed rom and are sporting 3.0, then XDA member Roach2010 has a nice little gift for you. The dev claims that this is rather experimental, but it seems to do the trick as it will present you with 3 options when holding down the power button, as opposed to the power down confirmation pop up from stock. Moreover, the dev is very clear about the fact that for now, this only works on 3.0.1, so please do not try it if you are using 3.1. Again, this is in development stages, so bugs and crashes are expected.
If you do try this out, please leave some feedback for the dev. Enjoy!
I’m looking for Beta testers running a deodexed 3.0 ROM to try out my latest mod, this is NOT for 3.1 users!
What is it? It’s an experiment to see if I could add an option to reboot into recovery in the power off screen that appears when you long press the power button.
I don’t like having to do the Power & Vol -, Vol + thing so I created this instead.
