Bypass the Lock Screen with SMS Bypass

It may be funny to set a PIN or pattern lock on your friend’s device only to see them writhe in anguish upon hearing that you forgot the PIN or pattern, but it sure isn’t fun when it happens to you. So in order to safe guard yourself from the unnecessary complications that arise when you find yourself in such situations, SMS Bypass may be worth checking out.
Developed by XDA Senior Member mb-14, SMS Bypass has the simple yet useful function of bypassing your lock screen remotely. The app requires you to send a text message containing a preset code followed by ‘reset’ to your phone from another, upon which your phone will restart and your lock screen will be reset. If however, you are still greeted with a pattern unlock screen, fear not. That’s only a bug, and can be fixed by simply inserting any random pattern to bypass. SMS Bypass does require root access on your phone, so don’t expect anything to happen if you haven’t rooted your device yet.
Mb-14’s app will definitely save a lot of time and effort in situations when you’re either the victim of a prank or simply forgot the PIN or pattern. SMS Bypass is compatible with any device running Android 2.2 or newer, and is ad-free and free exclusively on the XDA Forums. So if you’re looking for a simple solution to a complicated problem, check out the application thread for more information and download.
