Call of Android Boot Animation
Posted February 15, 2011 at 12:00 am by egzthunder1
You may remember not too long ago, we posted an article about a boot animation by XDA member Crackanug. The dev told us about a different one, which was actually a precursor to the one that we posted earlier. This one is also based on a popular video game franchise, Call of Duty (the other one being based on Halo). The work that was put into this one as well just goes to show you how much personalization Android devices can allow if you know how to do things. The animation has an old style film effect, which gives it a World War 2 kind of feeling, placing Android in the middle of the action, right at that time.
If you like it or if you have any original ideas that you may want to suggest for the dev, please share your thoughts in the comments below.
I have been a member since grabing the HD2 (US) and learned a lot from the developers here (I lurk and read). I have taken advantage of their knowledge and the the wiki, to which I thank everyone for all their work. Until recently I was always wanting to find a way to contribute back to the community and after getting the EVO, rooting, and messing around with some things I thought I would share the bootanimation I have been working on.
You can find more information in the boot animation thread.
