If you’re bored of the plain old font on your Galaxy S i9000, here’s a tutorial from XDA forum member socket84 on how to change the fonts on your Android device.
But wait, there’s already an option to change fonts on the Galaxy S, right? Apparently, this will cost you some real dough, so the tutorial shows you how to do it on the cheap.
socket84 has even helpfully provided a link to a free (legit) font site, but there are others around. You’ll need the forum member’s zip file which contains three scripts that need to be run (using GScript or GScript Lite which is available free in the Market).
Your new fonts need to be copied to your SD card along with the three scripts. Start GScript, run the relevant script, and that’s it, your new fonts will be applied!
For full instructions and to download the scripts, check out the tutorial thread.
