CyanogenMod 9 was initially reported to be a January release, but it’s still December and the CM9 train has been making its stops around the Android phone world.
Among the more recent releases of CM9 belongs to the Droid 2 Global and was released on Christmas day thanks to XDA Member ngocha2006. As can be expected this early into development, the ROM is an alpha release and still has quite a few bugs in it, but it’s definitely a solid effort for a first release alpha. Here’s what works:
HW 2d And 3D
And here’s what’s still in need of fixing:
Data phone (I don’t have the test)
So it’s still a little bit rocky and probably cannot be used as a daily driver just yet, but you can find the full changelog, details and download links right here in the original thread. Once this bad boy gets fixed up, it’s going to be one sweet ROM to run and for you Droid 2 Global users it is only a matter of time before everything gets fixed. Until then, though, there’s always CM7!_________
