Have you been in the situation where you fancy listening to some music while you’re immersed in a game, reading, or typing an important document on your Android device? Having to exit your current app to either go to the music widget or music app just to press play is annoying and impractical. This is a problem XDA Forum Member TraberSoftware ventures to mend.
TraberSoftware introduced on the XDA Forums an app called Floating Music Controls, an independently developed floating app that comprises of music controls hovering over any open app and screen. Upon start up, a simple app logo can be seen in the corner of the screen, which upon being touched, expands into a bar displaying play/pause, previous and next selections. The configurations menu allows the opacity of the floating app to be adjusted and position of the expandable icon in one of the four screen corners. A persistent notification in the pull-down notification area can be toggled on or off, and the floating controls can either be hidden with a shake of the device or ‘timed out’ after five seconds.
Floating Music Controls is a minimalist and practical app that serves a much needed function for music listeners. Working with Android versions 2.1 and newer and available for free in the Play store, make sure to head over to the original thread for more details.___________________
