The stock Android lock screen music widget added back in Ice Cream Sandwich has proven undoubtedly useful for a variety of users. Not only is the lock screen widget quite functional, allowing for use with both the Google Play music application and various aftermarket media players, but it also does so in a very aesthetically appealing way.
As useful as the lock screen music widget is, wouldn’t it be great if it were accessible at all times, even while in apps? Well, this is what XDA Senior Member Dr.Alexander_Breen decided do, when he replicated the lock screen’s widget and transformed it into a floating app, accessible from anywhere on your device.
Using the floating music control widget is simple. It even has some nifty controls, as described by the developer:
To close the widget, double tap it. To resize it, pinch it out or in.
You can launch this app by the regular shortcut or the same way you launch Google Now.
So what are you waiting for? To get started with this versatile music control widget, all you have to do is head over to the application thread._________
