Control Your Music with Physical Buttons using Xposed

Music players are very important. And as such, they generally have a special place in every application drawer. Poweramp, Apollo, and other applications are launched countless times per day, and they play our favorite music on a daily basis. Some of them offer physical controls by repurposing the volume and camera buttons, but this is hardly the rule, and in most cases, you have to manually control your music playback using the touchscreen. This is imperfect, as our phones usually are hidden away in out pockets, and pulling them out is time consuming and simply inconvenient.

Thankfully, there’s Xposed. XDA Forum Member XspeedPL was trying to find a solution, so he decided to create a module to control the music of your Android device. It’s beautifully simple: Pressing the camera button pauses or resumes the current song, and long pressing of one of the volume controls switches to next or previous track. Simple solutions are always best. This module should work with every music player available. All you need is rooted device and Xposed Framework installed.

If you’ve ever searched for application or mod to add physical controls to your media player, search no more. Just visit the module thread and get the newest version of Physical Button Music Control.
