While most users with broken screens only manage to crack the glass, while retaining actual touch capabilities, other times the touch matrix itself breaks rather than the actual strengthened glass. So what happens when the touch part breaks? It’s about as good as a hard brick, as you can’t do much if your screen and capacitive buttons don’t work properly. While the only way to fix it is to replace (or reconnect) the broken parts, there is a way to still get around it until then.
ADB Rabid Tool by XDA Forum Member unrealmanu brings a solution. The app is available in both Italian and English, and it allows users to enter commands and to control things on screen. And as its name implies, it does so through ADB. The current list of commands include:
required usb debug active
So if there’s something you absolutely need to do on your device and the touchscreen isn’t working anymore, this is likely your best bet to get there and do it until you fix the hardware issues. Additionally, the developer is is willing to extend the tool’s functionality if users submit other command scripts.
