As first dual core processors are arriving, so the apps optimized for them. Because of this, having an app to monitor both cores is becoming more of a necessity. With this in mind, XDA member optic76 shows CPU usage monitor, which has been optimized to have low overhead and memory footprint. It displays in the status bar and is compatible with Dual CPU core which is a must these days. The developer warns that some dual core devices do not use both cores all the time so when your device is using one core, the app reports this status until load increases to the point where your device starts using the 2nd core.. The application can be found for free with ads on the market.
If you are using it, please let the developer know about any bugs so they can be fixed on future versions.

There is a device limitation with reading the CPU Frequency. I am looking into a workaround for this problem.
