You may recall a few days ago that the Motorola Atrix 4G was rooted, and that shortly after it was found out that the bootloader was signed by Motorola, effectively preventing anyone from replacing things like the bootloader and recovery images. XDA member designgears has taken matters in his own hands and has started a thread to post any and all development on cracking this lock from Motorola. Past experiences with the Defy and even other higher end phones like the Droid X have proven rather complex projects to attack face on. However, our devs have managed the impossible because, let’s face it, everyone loves a challenge (particularly our devs).
Keep in mind that this is purely development, so unless you have something to contribute to the group (and I am not taking about beta testing), please refrain from posting in there. However, feel free to follow the exciting developments as they take place. After all, nothing brings life to XDA like a challenge from a manufacturer.
Ok, so lets get cracking on this bootloader.
You can find more information in the development thread.
