If you are into Linux (or are thinking about it) and love the idea to be able to tinker with the internals of Android roms, then you should see what XDA member gridlock32404 has prepared for MyTouch 4G owners out there. The dev has posted a very comprehensive guide for dealing with the internals or roms in a Linux environment. The guide is very well written, with short steps, and easy to follow with clear screenshots to see exactly what you need to do in case you don’t understand a step or two.
Our recommendation however, would be to read on a few things before messing with the internals of a rom. Not doing things right has the possibility of damaging your device. Please be sure that you understand the whole guide and have some background knowledge if you want to go into this.
Any feedback and suggestions for the dev would be highly appreciated.
This guide is geared to people that are new to ubuntu but would like to start playing with the internals of their android device and maybe even make themselves a rom,
You can find more information in the guide thread.
