If you’re a fan of Live Wallpaper and want to be able to create your own, Ownskin UGC goes some way to helping you do that.
Developed by XDA forum member madwolfchin, Ownskin UGC is a tool that let’s you create your own Android Live Wallpaper!
Ownskin provides a few examples with customisable widgets that sit in the Wallpaper. Examples include a wallpaper with a compass set in, and what looks like a normal background with a clock on the wall, that turns out to tell the actual time. Other widgets include a battery indicator that charges when your Android device is plugged into power.
Users can customise backgrounds and create their own widgets. Currently, widgets cannot connect to the internet but madwolfskin has mentioned that this will be implemented in the next update.
For more information, check out the video in the application thread. Ownskin UGC is not yet available in the Market but is available to download from the forum thread.
