If you’ve ever attempted to replace any hardware on your mobile device then you might remember the first time you attempted such a task and the moment of truth when you finally manage to piece your device back together.
XDA forum member refthemc recently went though the experience when replacing the screen on his cousin’s Streak. It turns out the the Streak is really only held together by glue and pressure. Thankfully everything worked out and the guys managed to piece the device back together.
The XDA member provides links to good tips and tricks as well as where to buy decent parts and notes that the Gorilla Glass and LCD detach from the rest of the phone once the ribbons are unclipped. A box cutter is advised to remove the Gorilla Glass from the LCD.
