Deodex all the Things with Universal Deodexer

We’ve mentioned several tools that relate to the process of odexing and deodexing a few times in the past. In case you’re not aware of the pros and cons of either option, I’m just going to go right ahead and direct you to XDA Elite Recognized Developer AdamOutler‘s video on the subject. Regardless of our personal preference, the need for people to be able to make the switch from one to the other is something that will persist for the foreseeable future.
It goes without saying then, that any tool to make the process easier is more than welcome. After all, it can be a very tedious and time consuming process. Universal Deodexer by XDA Senior Members abcdjdj and alokbina aims to make the process just that little bit easier by allowing you to quickly and easily deodex an APK file. The tool is currently only compatible with Windows, but apparently a Linux version is planned for the future. You will need Java installed on your PC and (of course) an odexed ROM to convert. After that, it’s simply a case of following the instructions outlined by the developer in thread and deodexing to your hearts content.
Check out the original thread for more information on the tool and full instructions on the deodexing process.
