Divide and Conquer (Faster) With Crystal Downloader

Downloading large files on mobile devices usually sucks for various reasons which can include: storage on your device, data caps on your wireless service, and most importantly speed. Sometimes, you simply just want to get started on a download so as to not forget the link but all of the sudden you feel restricted as you know that you will not be home (or at least surrounded by reliable Wifi) for a while. You also don’t feel like getting slapped with overage fees for going over the 2-5 GB cap that is placed by most carriers, and lets face it, it doesn’t take much in this day and age to hit that mark. Thankfully, XDA Forum Member xtr143 has just released an app called Crystal Downloader. The app’s main function is to allow you to download anything you want, but in chunks.
The app has the ability to manage and split any download that you start on your device. It can split files in up to 32 pieces to enable faster downloading of content. It can also pause and resume downloads as well so that you will not lose that all important link for which you searched tirelessly and resume downloading when you are in an area with better connection or a stable Wifi signal.
Please take this app for a whirl and let the dev know if you find any bugs or even if you simply have suggestions.
-Use your browser to find file you want
-Long click on the link, choose copy link url or share link, then choose Crystal Downloader.
-Use ‘Downloads’ tab on app to start download file.
