Doptrix Puts New Spin on Tetris-Style Games

Tetris is about as close to classic gaming as you can get without grabbing up the dice and the character sheets. Pretty much every generation of gamer has, to some extent, played it since its induction in 1984. However, as the years have gone by, the game has become rather plain in comparison to newer games, and that has inspired some to take Tetris and put a new spin on it.
XDA Forum Member dop2010 has created a modified style of Tetris dubbed Doptrix. The game is still very similar to Tetris, where you deal with randomly shaped blocks that must fit into a certain place. Instead of the traditional vertical orientation where blocks fall from the sky, the game board can be warped.
According to the developer:
This addictive puzzle game turns classic Tetris upside down and inside out! Rotate and flip the game board, think in many dimensions and challenge your brain, not the clock.
The game also offers a few different game modes and features including an online all-time leaderboard, various board sized and highly customizable controls.
You can check out the application thread for screenshots and features as well as a link to the Android Market where you can pick up the application for free.
