Droid Draw Lets You Program Art

There are a lot of drawing applications for Android. Ranging from simple paint tools to games based on drawing to advanced photo editing, there’s something on Android for all kinds of artists. So what about drawing using commands? It can be done as well. There is now an application where users can draw things by using a command-line interface to direct where the pen goes.

XDA Senior Member craig@xatik¬†points us to the application¬†Droid Draw. It’s definitely one of the most unique drawing applications on Android. As explained in the application description on the Google Play Store:

Droid Draw is a twist on the original Turtle Graphics app that uses the LOGO programming language.
Not sure what Turtle Graphics and LOGO programming is? The original Turtle Graphics allowed a user to enter commands which represented what would be drawn out out on a Cartesian plane. Droid Draw brings this same functionality to Android users.

In essence, the way it works is that users enter commands with parameters. Based on the command and the parameters, a line, curve, and so on are drawn. It’s still in its basic stages, but there are commands that return the pen to home, rotate the screen, adjust pen color and thickness, and there even make a little Android appear and draw what you’re commanding.
