Droid Incredible 2 Downgrade to Achieve S-Off

It has been quite some time since we last brought you a downgrade-in-order-to-root guide. As many devices aren’t always easily unlocked after an update, this being especially true for HTC phones obtaining S-Off, reverting to an older firmware version is sometimes the only way users will ever get their phones unlocked again. This is the case for the Droid Incredible 2 and S-Off.
The downgrade tutorial was written by XDA Senior Member dets34, and it is a long one. First, users verify that they have all the correct software. Then, users run through the tutorial itself, detailing how to safely downgrading the firmware. Lastly, the classic S-Off tool Revolutionary makes an appearance, and it is used to obtain S-Off.
This is a very well laid out tutorial, and dats34 even includes helpful tips, tricks, and troubleshooting to help those who get stuck. Given that downgrading can potentially be dangerous, it is highly recommended that users observe caution and read the instructions carefully before getting started.
