The standard start up animation for the Nexus One is already very creative and pretty. However you might like something else and with that, this list of start up animations might help. It has sprung from the mind of xda user drater and includes a quick tutorial on how to package start up animations.

First create your animation. Recently i have been using adobe flash and after effects.
Once you are happy with it you need to turn it into a series of png files. I use “aleo swf gif converter” search goole for it. Next you have to rename the png files. I use “better file rename” (google it) for this(eg. “animation_00001.png”, “animation_00002.png”) must be a 5 digit number as far as i know.
Now you have to make the bootanimation.zip, first make two folders “part0″ and “part1″
part0 is for animation that plays once, part1 is for animation that loops until the device is loaded.
Now make a text file “desc.txt” and enter “318 478 30p 1 0 part0p 0 0 part1″
(those are my default values)
Once you have that done its time to turn it into a zip. I use winrar for this. make sure you call it bootanimation.zip and there must be no compression. The zip is just for storage.
After that just push via adb to /system/media or /data/media (depends on rom) and you should have your own working custom boot animation.
