Are you an Android user who has been left feeling a tiny bit jealous of the Air Video app available to iDevice users that let them watch their entire media libraries on the go? Fear not, as a similar utility can now be obtained (for free) for your favorite little green robot.
Thanks to XDA forum memberĀ zokipirlo, we now have a wonderful application aimed at replicating much of the Air Video functionality for use with Android. In the words of the developer:
Watch videos live from your PC/Mac/Linux on android. Download music from iTunes.
Emit allows you to stream videos from PC/Mac/Linux directly to an android device.
Features:
- Live encoding and streaming directly to your device. No need to wait for your video to encode entirely.
- .srt subtitles
- mkv subtitles
- Pre encoding videos and download them to the device for offline viewing.
- Download music from iTunes. Songs will be saved to: SD_Card/Emit/Music/Artist/Album/Song.mp3
Continue on to the application thread for more!
