Enable Tablet Mode on ICS ROMs on the Galaxy Player 5

While the most popular five inch device in the forums is the Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung’s first five inch offering—the Samsung Galaxy Player 5—is still alive and kicking. Due to the ambiguous screen size, determining which layout it receives can be a real question. Now, owners of the device can make that choice for themselves.
The modification is courtesy of XDA Senior Member Supermaster34 and comes in the form of a patch that changes any ICS ROM from phone to tablet mode by replacing the services.jar and launcher files. Some features and info for the patch include:
Tablet Apps can be used
The Status Bar and Navigation Bar combine to form the Combined Bar
Full Album Art displayed on Lockscreen
Apex launcher runs very smoothly in tablet mode.
It has been tested on a number of ICS ROMs, and there are different instructions based on which ROM you’re installing. Supermaster34 says that users may experience some UI bugs, but otherwise everything runs as it should. Supermaster34 also includes how to revert to phone mode should you want to:
Tablet mode can be entered by changing the DPI of the device to 128 or less, but putting it below 120 causes bootloops. I am still testing my mod, but it appears to work on any ICS rom for the player 5. All you have to do is flash the zip file in recovery over the rom you want to apply it to. No wipes required and setting the DPI above 128 returns the player to Phone UI
