As you may be aware, the ever-so-popular Asus Eee Transformer has many siblings like the TF101G—the 3G version of the device—and its younger (and more powerful) brothers, the Prime and the upcoming TF700. However, there is yet another variant that is not as widely recognized but that it adds another “cool” factor to the Transformer family. The Eee Slider (SL101) is a tab that may or may not have a big user base, but it unfortunately does not receive a whole lot of love from devs. Because of that, there aren’t a whole lot of custom roms out there for this device.
Having said that, its older brother does have quite a bit of development going on and already has roms such as CM9 and AOKP, as well as a few other AOSP roms. Well, guess what? Thanks to XDA Forum Member SamuelDebruyn, you can now use these roms on your Slider with ease. It seems that there are very minute differences between these two tablets and as such, the roms should run without too many hiccups. SamuelDebruyn takes the experience a step forward by removing those hiccups with a script that basically patches any deficiencies when flashing TF101 roms (AOKP and CM9) onto SL101 such as better sound, additional keyboard languages, and (most importantly) better battery life. The dev does make note that flashing ICS roms for the TF101 on the SL101 should work fine even without this patch, but that this will allow for a better experience overall.
Word of advice though is that this patch is only intended for ICS roms. Do not attempt to use this with Honeycomb roms. Please try this out and leave some feedback for the dev.
It should work perfectly with CM 9 and AOKP.
