Firefox Beta for ARMv6 Devices

The last time we brought you news about Mozilla Firefox for ARMv6 mobile devices, it was still in its alpha stage. Since then, it has undergone a whole bunch of development. This includes moving into beta testing and even having its own set of nightlies. Mozilla has taken the next step by making the Firefox Beta official for ARMv6 devices.

XDA Senior Member vlt96 posted about it after noticing that it was available for download for the LG Optimus P500 in the Google Play Store. This is wonderful news, as it means that Mozilla does actually care about those with older devices. According to the Firefox Beta Play Store descriptions:

**We need your help testing ARMv6! If you have an ARMv6 device, download Firefox Beta and tell us what you think.
Visit https://bitly.com/FXinput to report issues or share your suggestions so we can make Firefox for Android more awesome. Find a bug? Report it at http://mzl.la/android_bugs.

So while it isn’t the stable release everyone was hoping for, it’s the next step in that direction. Now that they have moved to a public beta, it’s only a matter of time before a final, stable version is released.
